Karissa Nouzovsky - Escondido High School

Wow, can you say knock out! That's exactly what Karissa is, such a photogenic beauty and a lot of fun too! We did a "Downtown" session and hit a couple of my favorite spots. I'm so thrilled that Karissa brought along some great clothing choices and matching accessories. Most seniors don't understand the importance of accessories and how they can make or break an outfit. I'm posting some of my favorite shots of the day, and I think you'll agree that Karissa doesn't take a bad photo.

A senior at Escondido High School, Karissa and I talked a little about school and I even got her to give me some really great smiles when I had her tell me about her boyfriend, Ricky. Thank you Ricky, even without being there you were able to help me get some great expressions. Karissa's mom came along to help also and keep an eye out for messy hair or clothing out of place. I always enjoy it when there's another person to help me look for things out of place.

For those Juniors at EHS that don't already know it, I'm looking for 2 more Senior Models for Escondido High. Go to my website and apply online. We are very selective of our models and are looking for students who want to earn money and free stuff for promoting our services. You even get a free session with A Slice of Life Photography! How cool is that? http://www.asliceoflifeseniors.com/

Cache Perdue - Escondido High School

Let's hear it for my #1 model and senior client, Cache Perdue! Cache wanted to come in and take some more photographs to showcase off her personality, including snowboarding, softball and her favorite dress. We came up with some great images and we were even able to use some of my newest backgrounds. I have a sampling of some of my favorite images below.

Thanks Cache for being such an easy model! I know your mom's going to hate me because she already has picked out too many good shots from the sessions we did before. Oh well, that's what happens when someone is so photogenic!

Free Animoto Slide Show for Feb/March Sessions!

Well Spring is right around the corner and the phone is starting to ring for senior sessions again. So after keeping things on the backburner these last few months, I decided it was time to offer a new special to the high school seniors out there. After careful thinking, I decided to give away a FREE Animoto slide show to each session that books between now and March 31st. These slide shows will feature the best images from each session and can be posted on your Facebook or MySpace sites. And from each image that is ordered, I will give you a low res file to use on your phone, blog, networking sites, etc. How fun is that? For a preview of what an Animoto slide show is, click below:

Dylan Douglas - Classical Academy High School

How much fun is it to take senior photographs with your super cool car? That's what Dylan Douglas decided to do. We will be doing another session soon with his dirt bike wearing full gear so that will be another blog entry.

Dylan chose to do a "Hollywood Glamour" session, which is studio session utilizing a large reflector and direct crisp lighting. It's basically the style from the 40's, and as the saying goes, what's old is new again. A lot of my senior clients are liking this style, especially since I'm the only photographer in town offering it. After the studio session, we drove over to Grape Day Park for his outdoor photographs and were able to get some really terrific shots that showed off Dylan's great smile and blue eyes. I'm sure Dylan has plenty of girls chasing after him with his good looks and cool car.

I've compiled some of my favorite photographs from the day. Just remember, if you want to personalize your session like Dylan did, let me know what you love and what your hobbies are. Your senior photographs should be more than just a smile looking into the camera, they should be memories of who you are at this important time of your life.

Zach Behnke

So where do you go for a totally San Diego Senior Portrait when you move from the midwest? The beach, of course! That's exactly what Zach Behnke wanted for his session so we drove to Warmwater Beach in Carlsbad for his session. Zach's fun personality and total ham for the camera made him one of my favorite seniors so far. He brought along his guitar and classic fedora for personality shots, so I'm really happy about that. Having personal items helps me to capture the real senior.

Here are some of my and Zach's favorite shots. Luckily we had a great sunset to work with as well as great weather. Thanks Zach for making this such a fun session!

Nick Ontiveros - Escondido Charter High School

Funny story about Nick. I know his mom and grandparents through a friend, but that isn't what made Nick choose me as his senior portrait photographer. Although he was referred to me, he checked out other photographers' sites but liked how my work was different and more his style. I'm so glad he did, because I got some amazing shots of him both in studio and at Kit Carson Park & Grape Day Park. His easy-going personality and great big smile made him a truly photogenic senior. I'm sharing some of my favorite images from that day. Also notice the camera? Love that shot of Nick with his prized Canon! Of course anyone who shoots Canon is cool in my book.

Daniela Vitobaldi - Escondido Charter High School

Last week I spent an hour and a half at Kit Carson Park with Daniela and her mom. We walked around the park and found some great spots for my Walk In The Park session. Daniela has the most beautiful long hair and I had a lot of fun showing it off in many of the photographs. Her easygoing personality made for some casual photographs, as I try to capture each senior for who they are. Here are some of my favorites...
