NEWEST ITEM!! 4x8 Accordion Albums

You spoke, I listened!!  I keep hearing from my high school seniors and their parents how much they love so many of the images I take, but they really don't need that many portrait prints to frame so what to do?  Of course for those who are in love with at least 18 images or more, I recommend my custom designed albums in sizes ranging from 6x6 to 12x12 (square) or 6x8 to 9x12 (rectangular).  And they typically range in price from $350 to $500 depending on how many images you choose.

So what happens when you have less than 10 images you want in an album?  Fear no more!  We have a great alternate that is large enough to enjoy looking at the photographs but easier on the pocketbook...our 4x8 Accordion Album!  They look great, have a hidden magnetic closure, and typically hold about 8 images.  So how much, you ask?  We will custom design one of these cuties for you at a price of $200, and if you place at least a $300 print order with us, the price goes down to $150.  Need a copy for grandma?  We offer a 35% discount on all duplicates.

We have many different designs and colors so there is something for everyone.  And what a great gift for your high school senior!  It's compact enough to sneak into your purse or backpack, and probably one of the coolest things your friends & family will ever see from senior portrait photography.  Here's a sample layout:

Have You Sent Out Your Graduation Announcements?

Boy, things sure have changed since the days when I went to high school.  Wait, do I sound like my parent right now?  Well, I actually think things have changed for the better!

One of my favorite things that have changed it how amazingly cool graduation announcements have become.  I have a huge assortment of designs which can be accessed at http://www.bluemelon.com/sliceoflife.  But here's my latest addition to these great cards and postcards...

The design is called "Ripped."  If you click on the image, you can see it larger.  Pretty cool, huh?  It can be used as either a double sided flat card or there is a folded card design too.  There are days that I just love my job, and today is one of those days!

Natasha Pell - Escondido High School

When Natasha called me to set up her Senior Model Session, I was excited to hear that she had raised a lamb at the school's FFA program and wanted to take photographs with it.  Being a big animal lover, I was all over that in a minute!  Escondido High School's FFA area is very well taken care of and I found many different areas for some amazing photographs.  I really hope more the FFA students call me for sessions because it's just too fun to be around the pigs, cows, sheep and more.

After we were done there, we headed over to the alleys of Escondido to find some really hot new spots with lots of graphic design.  And sure enough, we found them!  Natasha did an amazing job and I look forward to photographing her again during her senior year.  Oh, and if I didn't mention it before, those Juniors who are lucky enough to be selected as one of my Senior Models get not only a free session, but also a free animoto slide show for both their Facebook page and to upload to an electronic device from iTunes.  Also, if you're interested in booking a session with A Slice of Life Photography, go find Natasha and ask her for a referral card that will get you 8 free wallets.  But hurry, she only has 75 of these cards to pass out so when they're gone, they're gone!

Free Animoto Slide Show for Feb/March Sessions!

Well Spring is right around the corner and the phone is starting to ring for senior sessions again. So after keeping things on the backburner these last few months, I decided it was time to offer a new special to the high school seniors out there. After careful thinking, I decided to give away a FREE Animoto slide show to each session that books between now and March 31st. These slide shows will feature the best images from each session and can be posted on your Facebook or MySpace sites. And from each image that is ordered, I will give you a low res file to use on your phone, blog, networking sites, etc. How fun is that? For a preview of what an Animoto slide show is, click below:

Fun with Trash The Prom Dress

For those of you who missed out on our Trash The Prom Dress special, I have a few samples to share. These photos are of Elisa Minamide and Kara Gustafson from San Pasqual High School. They brought along two sets of prom dresses and we took photos of them both separately and together. Even with the 95 degree heat, we still had a lot of fun and got some great photos. Thanks to Elisa and Kara for being so photogenic!
